"First room we stay was next to a very busy road so if you are like me and prefer a quiet night sleep then i would recommend to put in requests un before you arrive. Rooms was lovely decorated however the cleaning was quite poor a lot of dust not sure if that was living up to living in a paddock but could do with some attention. "The corridor carpet outside our rooms stank of stale beer, mould and algae. I think due to a steam clean which has gone very wrong. Made our stay very, very unpleasant. I had had an enjoyable stay here some years back and remembered how crisp and clean it was but now this premier inn feels seriously tired and grimy. Some simple issues I needed with room changes seemed so difficult for the staff, and although they all were very willing to try to help it was extremely lengthy and needed 2 attempts...

"Easy to find and helpful staff when we arrived early . Light flickering in toilet but sorted by staff straight away . Found previous occupants half eaten Chinese takeaway still in the bin in the room which wasn’t great . Reported to reception all very apologetic but should really happen if housekeeping being done throughly . Maybe they just had an off day . Colleague in separate room only had one towel in the room, no bathmat and no hand towel but as a sole occupant she decided not to complain...

"Modernish guest house style block attached to a large pub. Staff were very good and helpful throughout. My room was well equipped and had plenty of room. It was also quiet and very clean. The restaurant does breakfast and main meals - these start at 10am. A regular bus service goes past outside and that takes you into town in around 1/4 of an hour. A good budget place to stay in Swindon."
