"Super modern suite, top notch decor and finishing, kitchen was beautifully set up. Quiet location, loved the laundry facility to get caught up.
The view is incredible. A nice, 20 minute walk to the small downtown area. 10 minutes (if that) to the cog train and the ferry port."
"The check-in was about 8km away (which was in town and the house was out of town). When we got to the location it was not marked and we only knew it from the picture on the reservation. There was no one there which we knew but there was nothing there telling you the internet password- luckily, we saw someone else who told us. We sent 4 messages to the host and it took over 24 hours for a response. The room was large and clean except for all the bugs & flys (at checkout they simply said it was...
"This stay was amazing. The view from the balcony was beautiful, the amenities for the lake were awesome, and the room was very spacious as well.
We unfortunately had a small gripe with how hot it was when we went. We found out later that if I had requested a fan I could’ve gotten one. The laundry machine is one tiny one for the whole building you have to pay to use in euro coins.
Everything is about a 5-10 minute walk into the town. The bikes were awesome to use!
Everything else was amazing...
"We stayed one night to visit Halstatt. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and functional. Delicious breakfast. We had a car and the free parking was a two minute walk. There’s a pizzeria next door for dining options. The beds were comfortable and the AC was a great bonus. Thank you"
"Super clean apartment, owners were vety nice and helpful. There was everything we needed. Little kitchen was cude. We would only need to open it a bit earlier. ( it is closed
22.00-8.30 ). Supermarkets are nerby. All surounded by beautiful mountains."
"Easy check in with code to key box arriving 3 o’clock sharp. Very central location with a short walk to the waterside. The dedicated parking spaces were occupied but there is an easily accessible public parking on the other side of the main road that’s affordable. Nicely decorated room. A minus for the bathroom door being a transparent glass sliding door - not much room for privacy. Very strong perfume smell in the lobby which was otherwise the only drawback. Everything worked smoothly and it...
"If you’re looking for affordable accommodation close to Hallstatt without paying Hallstatt prices, JUFA Hotel Altaussee is a reasonable choice, particularly for families with children. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the hotel offers good family-friendly facilities. (JUFA Hotels )
That said, manage your expectations. The rooms are clean but very basic, and on the small side. They are perfectly adequate for a short stay but lack the comfort and character you...
"Absolute Nightmare: Left Stranded on the Street and Scammed
As someone who travels extensively, I can confidently say this was the absolute worst hospitality experience of my life.
My colleague and I traveled from abroad and booked two rooms. A significant flight delay pushed our arrival late into the night. When we arrived, exhausted after a grueling day, the hotel was completely locked up. We discovered their absolute latest check-in time is 21:30—a crucial detail that was incredibly obscure...
