Tried to call through the Hotels.com app- still didn’t work/not in service. After driving six hours to show up at your fairly expensive hotel to find it non-operational- very, very, very disappointing and incredibly frustrating! "

It far exceeded our expectations, it was very modern, incredibly spacious and very clean and tidy. It is also very good value for money. We had an apartment which would easily accommodate 6-8 people. "I was really pleased with my stay at Hotel Krone. The location is lovely, in the centre of Salzburg but just slightly over the bridge from the most touristy part. I loved that my room had a view of the cobbled street and church tower! My single room had everything I needed. Yes, the decor was perhaps old fashioned, but the bathroom was very modern and everything was very clean. Considering the facilities, location and price, I would definitely stay there again. "

"I adore Salzburg and the Salzkammergut Lakes region of Austria and this is my go to hotel whenever I'm in the area. Very friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet in the mornings and some excellent evening meals in the restaurant. It's approx 25 minutes to Salzburg by car, the lakes of Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Mondsee and Hintersee are all less than half an hour away and don't miss Plötz Wasserfall which is a mile and a half from the hotel. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"Lovely hotel in a fantastic location, close to everything! The staff are friendly, there’s free coffee and an honesty box for other drinks. We had a lovely 2 bed apartment, however the rooms were really hot, even in early May when it’s cooler at nights, hate to think what it’s like in the summer! The walls on the rooms could do with a paint refresh but nothing that didn’t spoil our stay! "

"Clean warm room, comfy beds, great location 20min walk into Salzburg. Would not bother with the breakfast it’s €10 for continental but not a lot of selection so not worth the amount they charge, there is plenty of places to eat for less"

"Property is located in a very quiet area from one rail stop away from famous Hallstatt. it is little bit old, but they are working with renovation so it can be much better very soon on May24. There are not many places to eat outside and no shop, but there is bakery nearby and offers great choice of pastries. Very beautiful and scenery area, about 1,5km walk to the lake."
