"Old, unique hotel with a lot of stairs and a small, slow elevator. Our room was huge, but the laminate floor near the bathroom gave when we waled on it, felt like we might fall through. Location is great, between Santa Maria and the Duomo. Very easy to navigate from."
"Very nice hotel, the rooms were clean and roomy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with maps of the city, gave us tips on where to go for various things and arranged for a taxi for us when we left. They were also very accommodating with us Americans always asking for ice! Breakfast was great too! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitly stay there again."
"This is a wonderful hotel located on the Piazza della Repubblica and is convenient to both the Duomo and the Uffizi Galleries. The historic hotel was comfortable, clean and well maintained, especially for a 150 year old property. We would definitely consider staying here again on any future trips to Florence."
"Excelente servicio, Arquitectura bonita acorde a la ciudad. Fácil acceso de transporte público. Buen servicio de alimentos y bebidas. Muy recomendable."
"The location was excellent as it’s only a short walk to the SMN train station. The breakfast was good with really great coffee. The room size was more than decent and there was enough space to put your things out. The staff was very helpful and friendly."
"We had two tours that need to go very early at 7am. The breakfast is open at 730am. When we talked to front desk, they were very nice and said would tell restaurant to pack some breakfast for us. But the guy who worked at the restaurant in the morning is not that nice and said they don't pack breakfast. After explaining to him, he is ok for us pack breakfast ourselves, but he thought we took too much.....we have four people and need that breakfast for 4 of us. This made us unhappy, Another...
"This was a very nice hotel. I found it to be clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. The location was not the best but I expected that as I chose a property near the main railway station.
Overall it had its drawbacks but they were manageable given the situation. I would probably stay there again next time I am in Florence."
"Me gustó mucho su ubicación cerca del tren y del Duomo Santa María Firenze .
Es un edificio viejo , habitaciones muy pequeñas, mucho ruido en la noche y mucho mosquito. No lo recomiendo."
"Being that this was a last minute coordinated hotel relocation due to an unfortunate event for the hotel that we originally booked. I truly believe this happened for a reason. The hotel reception was great, especially for how late we checked in. The hotel itself has an old charm feel, small and quaint. The room was clean, however, the bathroom is small, similar to being on a cruise ship. The biggest setback for us was that there was no sliding glass door or door to the shower. The entire floor...
"The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and clean.
The lobby is spacious and there's a space where you can sit and enjoy playing games, reading a book or working on your laptop.
The hotel is located outside the center, near the airport, and it's a 6 minute walk from the tram T2 which you can take to reach the city center"
