"The apartment was as stated, very clean, towels, bedding, pots, pans, plates and cutlery all provided. Reception spoke English, which was a great result as our French is very poor. "The place is good. And there is a shuttle to the abbey. But don't forget to get your access code. If you come late by car you won't be able to get in without a code. I got someone on the phone after 5 tries, but you shouldn't take that risk."

"The breakfast was very good, if expensive (welcome to France). After multiple trips to breakfast restaurants to eat bread and coffee, having eggs and bacon was a real treat. Yes I am from Canada. Shower was new and relatively roomy. Small room, but well layed out, and we enjoyed 2 twin beds."

"We were there for a week half board. On checking in we were asked about any food issues and the menu reflected the wish for no mussels. Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented, including the Monday "tray meal". All the waiting staff and room cleaners were very polite and efficient. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and both spoke excellent English. The car was accommodated in their gated parking area with a clear sign indicating our slot. "The hotel has an attractive courtyard and restaurant attached. There is a parking lot in the back and a bathtub in the room which my travel companion really liked. The room also had the interesting feature of blinds that operated with a switch. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel as it is an easy walk to downtown Avranches. "
