"You do get what you pay for and by all means this is not a 5 star luxury hotel. However, I have to say that I have zero complaints! - lovely staff - clean bed - kettle with coffee and tea provided - beautiful sea views (shower I faced the car park which didn’t bother me) You can hear noise from other rooms, however again this wasn’t an issue for me. If you do have this problem, I’m sure the staff will be happy to help. Thank you Carlton."

"Clean comfortable quiet room on the first floor. Staff were all very friendly, and helpful. Great service."

"Room right next door to the stairwell, doors don’t have slow closing so all we could hear all night was slamming door, lift to first floor didn’t work as couldn’t press the number 1 so everyone was using the stairs, worst nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel to be honest"

"Everthing was perfect , good location to visit Ashford designer outlet, just in front off Ashford internacional station, good breakfast , helpfull staff and clean Room,"

"The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food available was very good including breakfast.Only dislikes were the operation of the lift was not clearly marked where to put your room key.The shaver point was not easy to find and awkward to insert. The interconnecting door we had in our room was very inhibiting.,if you don't know the people next door. You could see the light from the adjoining room shining through. Also the amorous couple next door kept us awake...

"10 x better than last time we stayed, having been refurbished. Clean room, really comfortable bed and an average shower."

"Our room had a very ugly view over the bins and kitchen extractor fans. This created a loud hum until around 10pm and also brought some cooking smells into the room. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly. However, after midnight the noise died down and it was quiet. The hotel is in a nice, very rural location."

"We have stayed twice at The Victoria and will no doubt stay in the future. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as biscuits. The building is old and tired, but it is clean and very good value for money, The restaurant is welcoming and the food is good too. The location is convenient to walk into Canterbury. Parking is FREE at The Victoria."

"We had a two bedroom cottage again this time because we brought our dog - it's fantastic for that reason but the standard of cleanliness was not great tim"

"The staff were very friendly on check in. Room was very clean could have done with a chair. The mini fridge and breakfast basket in the room was a very pleasent surprise. Restaurant is not open most days anymore due to no chef. Pubs coffee shops and takeaways are very close to the hotel to get a meal."

"The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, which is in the centre of town. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking the street. The carpets were badly stained as was the rooms upholstered chair. The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and the shower water temperature was constantly changing between very hot or very cold. Due to the very hot weather we expected at least a fan for the room as the windows only partially opened. On speaking to the reception they informed me that...

"Lovely location in the heart of the Canterbury. The owners are very nice and are attentive and on hand for anything we needed. 10/10 customer service. However the room was a bit run down. Mirror wonky, towel rail coming off the wall and the large bed is broken underneath. It was however a great stopover and introduction to Canterbury."

"Very nice old building, immediately adjacent to the entrance to Canterbury Cathedral ticket office. Centrally located on the Royal Mile. The main downside is that parking is about 1/4 mile away and Ubers and Taxis can only get you within 100 yards of the door"
