"Property looks great from the street. The location is just a short walk to all the shops in downtown. The floors on the front porch, lobby and hallways were dirty. They needed to be swept and the tile should have been mopped. The front entrance door and trim work had peeling paint. Our room was warm at first but the man at front desk came and opened the air vents which helped a lot. Our room was small and no TV, which we were aware of."

"They have so much to offer, like an outdoor grill and firepit. They bake cookies every afternoon. It feels like a home away from home. "

"This inn was charming and conveniently located. But its main draw is the incredible generosity extended to guests. Lovely wine and hors d’oeuvres on the porch. But you could sit on the upstairs porch. Or the sitting upstairs or downstairs. Super helpful checkin information. And then a breakfast you cannot beat, served with kindness and attention. "A unique and very comfortable place to stay in Rutherfordton, NC during IEA National Jumper Championship. Super convenient on-street parking and very comfortable beds. Very close to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The old updated municipal center made for a very interesting Inn and a nice tour by Mary, the Inn Keeper. She is very friendly, accommodating and always looking for a way to make your stay even better. Donna, the chef, prepared a delicious breakfast and told us more about...

"What a wonderful place. So peaceful and quiet. Our host and hostess Sheila and James were so welcoming. The Inn was absolutely gorgeous. All of the artwork, furnishings. Truly took us back to another time. Our room was so comfortable, it had more than everything we needed. We only wish we could stay another night but we had a graduation to attend . We will most certainly go back to Whole Hearts again."
