"We stayed at this hotel on the hottest day of the year, and the experience was extremely disappointing. When we booked, we were guaranteed that a fan would be provided at the very minimum. However, when we arrived, there was no fan available. Instead of trying to help, the staff told us to “just deal with it” because the promise had apparently been made by the day-shift employees, not the night staff. That is not an acceptable way to treat guests, especially in such uncomfortable conditions....

"A lovely stay in a grand old seafront building. A little rough around the edges where the building is showing its age but not in a particularly off putting way. Stylish decor in common areas, spacious family room for 3 of us. Amenities a little older and more basic (a fan instead of aircon, open rails instead of wardrobes, slightly older carpet with a few stains etc), but all clean and functional. Lovely breakfast with a beautiful view, and kind helpful staff."

"The exterior wall of this hotel is old and rusty, clearly has not been painted for years, which is quite different from the photos on Expedia. The staff were friendly. The room the two of us stayed in was of good size, but the soundproofing of the doors, windows, and floors was very poor. Noise kept coming in from the street, upstairs, and the hallway outside the door at night. The mattress on the bed was old and had very poor elasticity. We were glad that we only had to stay there for one...

"With parking on site and a bus stop outside, this was a great place to stay and good value for money. The building is a little tired, but the staff are helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I would stay again as is very convenient for visiting Brighton."

"Quiet hotel Friendly staff Clean room. Good shower.East to use Comfortable bed. The fan was a nice idea! To improve .. Car park.Very small and difficult to get in and out of. Poor conteninental breakfast choice. Expensive for what you got."
