"We had high expectations for this resort as we were not able to book the Marriot hotel that is next to Punta Borinquen. Unfortunately, there were roaches in the room every single day and night. The elevator door was super slow opening and closing. Looks like it needs to be recalibrated for a better experience. This resort is very old and although the staff does their best in trying to upkeep the building, it does need a major investment for remodeling the rooms with new beds, furniture,...

"The stay was overall enjoyable, but one issue worth noting is noise. Our room was located next to an event space, and one weekend night there was a loud event with music and heavy bass that could be felt in the room until late at night. It made it difficult to relax and sleep. In my opinion, this room should not be occupied on the nights with events."

"Figured we'd stay in Mayagüez for a night and then head over to some waterfalls in the general area. I don't usually gravitate towards hotel chains, but the island is still on the mend from the storm of '17 and earthquake of '20, and Holiday Inn is doing a pretty good job of presenting well maintained and comfortable properties around the island. Bed was comfortable, room and facilities were in good shape, and it was easy access to grab a bite to eat in town. I'd stay there again."
