"Our room was situated at the top of the main building with a beautiful view towards St Ives town and the surrounding area. We were supplied with a fan which was essential due to the hot weather. There were a few maintenance issues with our room which included a drawer front within the wardrobe falling open every time you opened the door. The shower head was small and the bottom of the rail had a part that kept falling off. These are small matters but it shows that the room was a bit tired. ...

"I have had the misfortune of staying in many hotels, but this easily takes the title of the absolute worst. The only reason this place isn't getting zero stars is the location, but even that comes with a massive "buyer beware" warning. "I like the character and location of the property and the staff are doing the best that they can. The property is dated and in need of investment. The bedroom could have been a bit cleaner (hoovering the carpet which did not seem to happen during my stay) and the bedding did not fit the mattress. The staff were kind and helpful though some better manners from certain bar staff would have gone a long way. The food was great."
