"I’ll be as fair as possible. The room was clean. We have a dog, so they put us in a different unit/section of the Hotel, fair enough. The part of the Hotel we were in was being renovated or had been. Our room was not even finished. It had only 2 lights, one by the entrance and one in the bathroom. The Headboards had holes where the reading lamps were supposed to go, but no lamps. No artwork on the walls. There were no towel racks in the bathroom. It was basically an unfinished unit that should...
"Place was very quaint and nostalgic. Everything felt reminiscent of an old cottage. Rooms were decent. Obviously very dated but kept up well. Showers are tiny. Fine for me but husband had a hard time with it. Really like the front seasonal room. Very cozy atmosphere. Had a lively breakfast ready for us in the morning. Service was fantastic."
"Clean and comfortable, no frills motel.
Staff at reception and breakfast very friendly. Breakfast has something for everyone, though it doesn’t begin serving till 8am. Breakfast area is a little cramped. Coffee was excellent!
Smell of detergent on sheets was almost overwhelming. Door to room had to be pulled very hard to latch/lock.
I was there for two nights. No privacy please hanger meant that they made my bed and refreshed towels, neither which I needed. End result was a number of...
"Kevin and Leslie were wonderful hosts who served us a delicious breakfast - a most welcome treat after the typical hotel fare. The house is a beautifully renovated period home with large spacious bedrooms and private bathrooms. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the cleanliness. Kevin loves Nova Scotia and gave us many great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to visit."
"Room was very clean and comfortable- breakfast was really good - bacon eggs and warm croissants served to our table was a great way to start the day - owners were very friendly and helpful"
"Great location to walk into town, but off the main road. Charming old Victorian. Lovely large room with brand new bathroom and big shower. Covered porch with view of the water. Charming dining room for breakfast and a nice selection of food. Lively pub next door for dinner (but not noisy)."
"The view was fantastic. Sitting on the porch looking right over the water was perfect. The interior is a little dated but had what we needed and we spent more time outside than in!"
