"We arrived and they didn’t have our booking despite proof on my Hotels.com app. They then said check in was at 14:00 whereas my booking showed 12:00. It took them until 13:30 and several looks at the app to finally show us to our room. The room was dirty and the beach in front of the hotel wasn’t great. We moved 500 metres down the beach where it was much nicer. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Cold food and coffee followed 10 mins after we had finished. We won’t be returning."

"Stayed here for 2 nights with family plus our private driver as part of a whistle-stop tour of Sri Lanka. Our first impressions were quite bad. Hotels in Sri Lanka routinely provide/arrange accommodation for drivers (either for a price or sometimes for free). Jacob made it seem like drivers are not worthy of staying in the vicinity of guests as they "disturb the look of the hotel and the other guests".
