"We booked hotel Rex last minute so we could just wake up and hop on the train in Lucca. It had everything we needed but no extras. I would only spend one night here. Breakfast was extremely basic and needed to get better coffee at the cafe across the street. But over all room was clean and quiet."
"The moment we arrived Francesco greeted us warmly. The room was clean, quiet and had a lovely terrace we could enjoy along with onsite parking. The pool while unheated was a great place to relax at. Fabio, the bartender at the bar provide us excellent service and was always working hard. He’s a great representation of what good customer service should be. The breakfast staff at the breakfast buffet also went above and beyond to make sure our coffee orders and food were just right. Thank you to...
"Viele Parkplätze direkt am Hotel.
Freundlicher Check-in.
Sauberes, großes Zimmer.
Funktionierende Klimaanlage auch im September noch.
Schöner Pool mit toller kleiner Poolbar.
Mega-Frühstück!
Super freundliches und immer hilfsbereites Personal."
"If given the option, don’t stay here. The comforter had staining of reddish/brown dots, there was other peoples hair in the bed, and we got laughed at when we asked someone to take a look and change the sheets. Once they were changed, we were speaking with the front desk girl and we inquired about the possibility of bed bugs and were told “if you can’t see anything there aren’t any” and ended the discussion.
On top of this, you’re locked into the parking and it has to be opened by the front...
"Kamer gedateerd en vloerbedekking niet schoon. Beddegoed oké maar sprei zag er niet fris uit.
Ontbijt was basis. Geen bakjes voor yogurt en alleen wit brood of croissantjes."
"Soggiorno perfetto.Colazione continentale sublime! Vasta scelta di dolce e salato! senza glutine, senza lattosio e chi ne ha più ne metta!!

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Diana! The location was perfect and so convenient for exploring beautiful Lucca.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with such an incredible variety of fresh and tasty choices. And the staff were wonderful—so warm, sweet, and accommodating. They truly made us feel welcome and made our stay even more special.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay here again. We will definitely be back to Hotel Diana! ❤️"
"Breakfast had lots of variety. This location, while a bit of a walk from the train station .. the walking path was smooth. Viareggio is a great place from which to visit by train the cities of Cinque Terre. Wifi was steady.
Requested staff to review the pictures and sq ft shown on Expedia. Staff changed our room at our request when the room assigned was not the same layout as the room pictured (smaller)."
"Hotel was in prime location to the beach front, the hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. We would definitely consider staying again if we came to visit the area in the future."
"Stairs to rooms on first floor, no elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage up and down.
Lovely room with a view of plaza.
Very comfortable and secure electronic locks. Safe was locked and unusable .
Great location in heart of Lucca.
Very clean and comfortable"
"Loved that this property was right across from the beach. Rented bikes and explored. There is a beautiful park close by too. Close to everything! Staff was helpful and accommodating."
