"Toilet in room not clean when we checked in, advised reception and went to spa. Came back 2 hours later and still not cleaned, my partner went back to reception then had to show receptionist the mess left in the toilet, she said had checked and hadn’t seen anything wrong so just left it the first time.. couple hairs on the bedding, but after trying to sort the toilet never bothered to say anything. spa showers not very clean, clumps of hair. Restaurant had no menus, had to wait about 10 mins...
"On arrival they took too long to allocate a room, the staff where not friendly, apart from the lady in the breakfast room. The room was clean but tired looking. Bed comfortable, breakfast good, suppose to be superior room but only a seaview difference from standard. Main problem was the reception staff who couldn't be bothered to welcome visitors or look up from what ever they were doing to interact with guests"
"very helpfull and polite staff even though they work long hours they always had a smile.
Property does need updating and is being refurbished ,my room was very clean as off the hotel its self.
Breakfast plentiful which was a buffet.
help yourself self to hot food or a selection of cold food .
Parking there's parking out front but its very limited ,there is a carpark in town behind weatherspoons which is payable."
"My second visit to Y Pengwern. For me it's ideal for my hikes.
Very quite, a lovely local pub with friendly people and good food. Made to feel welcome. No fuss or bells or whistles. Just what I like."
"Good location in lovely Criccieth, but in need of - and actually receiving even during breakfast (!) - some further updating. This meant that the evening restaurant area was temporarily located in the rather dingy, small and unwelcoming bar area which meant we didn't try it even though the menu looked quite attractive. The breakfast area was also in need of updating - quite utilitarian and brown - and the buffet breakfast itself was OK, but not as good as we've experienced elsewhere.

"The room was very large and clean as was the bathroom. But it felt cosy. The staff at the pub were incredibly nice and helpful. It was a very nice, comforting stay with good food."
"The staff were extremely helpful helping us in and out with baggage and helping us in any way we needed. The only disapointment I felt was not taking gluten free that seriously . They did have the bread but meals were another thing and two days I had not choice of sweet. Otherwise I would go there again if we can travel that far another year."
"Property was conveniently located. However some item needed repair although they could be used. Example: the shower leaked water which wasted water. The TV didn’t have a video signal although that may have need due to storms. Staff were very helpful and room was clean and neat."
"Great place in North Wales. Staff super helpful and great communication when we were delayed en route.
Great shower and fab full Welsh breakfast. Will stay again"
