"Absolutely lovely. Owned and operated by a local family. The staff is very kind and helpful. The views of wildlife are exceptional. We were very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! Note that the road to the hotel is not paved. The local drivers are used to it. If arriving from Quito, get out at the Mindo town square and take a taxi $4-5 to the hotel. People there seem honest and hardworking. "

"Beautiful property within walking distance to all attractions. The room is spacious with great bedding and modern bathroom, the staff are wonderful, breakfast is great. There are hundreds of birds and hummingbirds within a few feet from breakfast. Birds come to you in this hotel and you really don’t need to go anywhere to see them"

"I liked having nature around me and its fulfilling breathtaking beauty. The owners/staff are very friendly and understanding; beautiful people. It was a pleasure to meet them. Hearing a river flowing and the tranquil sounds of a waterfall on the property; amazing to both fall asleep to and awaken to. "I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. You can walk around the town, but honestly, there is not too much to see aside from the church and cemenetry.The church had an interestingsaint...

"This lodge is located off the beaten track. It takes about 20 min to get here from Mindo on a narrow dirt road. The accommodation is basic but nice. Staff is small but very attentive. My cabin was spacious with one queen sized bed and three single beds (two of them in a loft). Nature around the lodge is beautiful."

"The property was ultra unique. Absolutely the middle of nowhere with the most beautiful views you could imagine. Just to top it off, the service was amazing and the food was excellent!!!! The steak was incredible and only 12 dollars! Can't say enough good things about this destination. "

"This beautiful place is right in town (across from the bus station) on a quiet street and easy walk to main street and all its offerings. We stayed in the apartment style room, very clean, spacious and everything for stay in cooking or just making coffee and sitting on the little patio. Ronny the owner took great care of us, cooked a yummy breakfast with a choice to have delivered to your room or on the upstairs patio. Did all our laundry for a great price. I would stay here again if visiting...

"Ignacio was so warm and welcoming!! He made our trip easy and relaxed. One of the best things he did was to arrange our looked forward to was a birdwatching experience. Our guide was the first female guide in Ecuador. She was excellent giving us so much time and her expertise in identifying a vast array of birds. Carmen’s cooking and homemade breads was exceptional. The whit beautiful setting is a place I would love to return to. I give an exceptional place"

"El lugar es bonito, tranquilo limpio y con bonitas áreas, sin embargo, si se encuentra bastante lejos del parque de mindo, para salir del lugar el camino no es bueno tiene bastantes huecos y es de tierra por lo que al ir con carro bajo complica un poco entrar y salir con facilidad. No nos realizaron la limpieza de la habitación, por que no entregamos las llaves pero nadie nos avisó aquello y al llegar esperábamos encontrar limpio y no fue asi. "Alicia, as the name suggests, maintains a wonderful orchid garen with hundreds growing in pots nice arranged on shelves beneath a large canopy of jungle trees and wild plant growth. Birdsong all day long with good bird watching from your chair on the deck of your cabaña. Nice breakfast. Alicia is very helpful and ever smiling."
