"The position of the hotel with amazing sea views and beautiful surrounding scenery was very special. Inside the hotel inside was beautiful in an old fashion way but in character for the age of the hotel.
The only thing that was a bit strange was the shower and toilet cubicle in the bedroom but again when the hotel was built there would not have been on suite bathrooms.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome.
We had a lovely afternoon tea in the most beautiful...
"The hotel was comfortable and clean, the parking was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful and chatty they went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The on-site restaurant was lovely, the food was excellent.
Location was ideal, near to all the attractions. We found the local pub next door’s very friendly."
"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. "Warm and friendly welcome and it stayed like that all week
As to the room it had a lovely powerful shower, a comfy bed and a kettle what more could I want"
"The property was clean and well kept, our lodging was well maintained, comfortable and pleasant to see.
The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will return as soon as possible. Overall Very pleased with the experience"
"The pub was not open on the day of arrival, so no food available. Was not offered a breakfast option. Shutters on window let in a lot of light so slept poorly. Very small tv which was mounted in a corner so uncomfortable to watch."
"We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations.
No pool/spa/gym/food.
Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it.
2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place.
Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs.
For what was a basic room...
"The lady who runs the b&b was lovely, and so friendly, she gave us all the information we needed when we checked in.
The room was large and spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom had shampoo & conditioner as well as shower gel & soap.
We paid for our parking at a car park down the road, but the b&b do have a small parking area out the back.
Breakfast had a huge amount to choose from, cooked, cereals, toast, pancakes, pastries , yogurt & fruit.
Hot drinks & fresh...
