"Room was what was needed, comfy bed, decent shower and you can control the lighting from the bed. The staff atbthe front desk were friendly. The parking is a bit annoying as you have to parl in B&Q car parl rather than out the front which made it harder with baby stuff. Would stay again. We used it when returning from a later ferry journey."

"My cousin and I were coming to the area for a family birthday celebration that weekend, so we decided to travel down a day earlier, as we love Portsmouth harbour and its naval history. This hotel was situated in a very convenient area for us to visit the dockyard, and have a good choice of where to eat"

"Lovely old quirky hotel that could do with some tlc ,Lovely staff nice bar Courtney kept us entertained. Room was good bed was comfortable bathroom very good. We had breakfast and was really nice , for the price you pay id definitely use again "

"We had a lovely stay. Beds could have been more comfortable. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom the same. We had someone above us in the night sounded like they were doing exercises. About midnight until 1 oclock. You could here them moving around. Maybe a new floor needed.and also we went out for the day and came back about 9 at night and there was a key in are door that the cleaning staff had left in there. I told the lady on the desk in the morning and she did apologise and said was going to...

"The hotel was clean and the staff were efficient and very friendly. The food and the restaurant were excellent. Parking was a problem on times and the shower pressure was poor. The owner is in the process of updating certain aspects of the hotel so this may be resolved in the near future."

"unfortunately the negative is that there is no onsite parking. you have to keep moving your car from off the street to pay and display carparks which are very close but not cheap, £5 to £6 for a few hours, it soon mounts up if you staying for a few days. Overall a well appointed property with a fantastic garden area."

"It’s a 3 star stay but with 5 star cleanliness and service, lovely people and the room was big with a very clean comfortable bed, the decor was nice enough but a little rough around the edges, certainly why it’s a 3 star- fresh paint but not to the highest of standards, functional furniture but needs updating etc, I would stay there again."

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."
