"This is the second time we have stayed at the Griffon Hotel, which is well established in Newquay, it was here when I lived in Newquay in the 70s, so it has stood the test of time. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfasts we had there were excellent. Although we didn't have an evening meal there, I have heard reports the food is very good. "Staff were amazing! The hotel is quite dated though so the floors and walls are paper thin so can hear everything going on around your room. Luckily we didnt have anyone too loud either above or next to us so didn't disturb our sleep."

"The host is very responsible and friendly. Keep these facilities very tidy. Breakfast is complimentary you have hot cold dishes savoury sweet options enough for you to eat. "

"Clean, comfortable room with en-suite shower. Basic but fine if you need to stay overnight for any reason, Reception staff helpful and friendly. Free parking a plus. Bring toiletries as you only get a sachet of shower gel. I always take my own anyway. Couldn’t find a hairdryer so maybe there isn’t one or maybe you have to ask Reception . "

Aaron the owner is the friendliest nicest guy you could ever meet. The rooms are spotless & the views are outstanding. Never have I felt so welcome when staying at a hotel in my life. "Honestly , was the most beautiful place . So many small touches from the home made scones to the hand held mirror with the lighting . The grounds are beautiful , so peaceful. The bed was so comfortable , falling asleep under the stars. Dean and Stephen really did go above and beyond - so friendly and gave recommendations for places to eat and visit which made our visit even better ! Loved it !!! Highly recommend ! "
