"Our first view of the Royal Lion Inn was the renovation structures right at their front entrance. We are not sure if that was due to structural integrity issue or aesthetic reasons. This was not disclosed in all the booking platforms.
There is available free parking for guests. There is no service, no lifts, bring your bags up the stairs yourself. Breakfast was okay. Room is bright with 5 lights around the room which we very much appreciated, unlike other inns that we have stayed.

"Great location! Room was a very nice size and quite comfortable. Vintage room had lots of character as well as the entire hotel.
We stayed for the breakfast and it was quite good, fresh pastries were amazing.
The hotel staff did excellent considering they were obviously understaffed for the morning rush!"

"The children's bedroom was not clean, under the mattress on bunk bed was months of dust and grime, the carpet hadn't been hoovered. Sweets and rubbish on the floor under the bunk bed.
The children safety lock has only 1 bent scew, as a fixing.and hanging off."
