"The staff were lovely and friendly. The food and service were amazing. The bed was clean and comfortable, but there were cobwebs and spiders in the room/bathroom and the cleanliness around the toilet could definitely be improved."

"Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms."

"Clean + friendly staff + good for families "

"Lovely stay! Very convenient"

"Very good stay at this hotel great location to York Centre everything within easy walking distance. "Beautiful accommodation. Friendly staff. Great price including a wonderful breakfast."

"Clean property with friendly staff."

"Large bungalow style room with full disability access and wet room. Stylish. Comfy beds. Check in lady was friendly. Room was left open when we arrived but no electricity so had to go find someone. Bathroom bin had not been emptied but otherwise clean. Struggled to find someone serve us behind the bars. Breakfast was a little anaemic but good quality and tasty. Plenty of parking near the room Would stay again."

"Lovely old building a stones throw from city centre. Staff incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend."

"Place looked dirty, Carpets need replacing, they were worn, The table in room 202 where i was needs replacing, the surface/paint was lifting, not up to my living Standard, the only thing the sheets on the bed looked clean, only stayed 15 minutes , then Checked out,had to find a room elsewhere, I should have read the reviews first, they said it all."
