"We hadden in eerste instantie een kamer die ter hoogte zat van de motor van de airco. Deze maakte dusdanig lawaai dat we hebben gevraagd om een andere kamer. Dat werd gelijk geregeld. Erg fijn, daardoor heerlijk kunnen slapen!"
"We were given an upgrade to larger room which was ok..but lots of stairs , as third floor and both over 60 lol but appreciated the extra space .
Hotel was in good place for visting other places.
The meal we had in the restaurant was yummy , i had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger.
But breakfast not so good, bacon was hard as was streaky and it was a mix for scrambled egg which was not very nice , tin mushrooms and tomatoes needed cooking longer and sausage and hash brown was ok and...
"The hotel is very clean, room was good size and very clean. Most importantly the team across the areas were all very friendly and helpful.
Will be staying again in just over a month."
"The hotel is very authentic, with wooden floors through out, steeped in history and very charming. The location is excellent if you do not have a car at your disposal, and the area has lots to see and find to do, will definately be visiting the area , and most probably the hotal again."
"Room was spacious and very clean. I guess our room was designed for wheelchair users because the bathroom had handles and rails, which all meant it was really large with plenty of space for our stuff. As a hotel on a motorway services station we knew it would be fairly basic but that was fine . It was quiet and no problem parking. For the price of under £60 for a twin room it was excellent value."
"Stayed for 1 night with work. Its a lovely old building with alot of character but the it is in need of a good update to all the corridors, stairs and other areas. The rooms have had an update and look nice though my bathroom did have a smell of stale water and as its in the town centre it was quick noisy to the point that around 5am the bin men woke me up emptying the bins with a loud bang.
Personally I wouldnt stay again but can understand why some people would."
