"Lovely hotel with a lot of history which was displayed around various walls at reception, If you don’t mind walking up various sets of stairs to get to your room (we were on level 1) you’ll be fine. There weren’t a lot of stairs but it was “walk up a couple then down a corridor, through a door and few more steps, another corridor and other door”. The floors creaked also but it was an old building so can’t complain. Free on site parking but be aware, pigeons live in the roof of the parking area...

"It is under new management, it had been 'let go'. Our stay was tolerable. 1 member of staff was very good others not so. I believe that in the not too distant future it will be excellent, currently a work in progress"

"The property is old beams, four poster beds, sloping floors, beautiful property nice restaurant local to shops pubs and staff young and very helpful and polite nothing too much trouble, our room had a king size 4 poster bed high but very comfortable good shower too, definitely be going back again food was very good also and when you stay you get 10% off food and drink"

"Lovely hotel, great location within easy walking distance of Ironbridge and a short drive from Bridgnorth for the Severn Valley Railway, which we especially wanted to visit. The hotel is an old building with no lift and a bit of a labyrinth via stairs and corridors to the guest rooms. Staff were helpful with heavy luggage but the building may not be suitable for those with physical infirmities, unless there are guest rooms with easier access than the one we had. Excellent food. Breakfasts...

"Staff were attentive and helpful from start to finish. The night I stayed there was a big family celebration and thought be difficult to get a meal, but staff very efficient and good food, as was breakfast. Well equipped room. Would definately go back."
