"Staff were friendly and helpful however upon walking into the hotel we were met with the most awful urine like smell. Possibly a damp carpet that has dried whiffy but it really didn’t give off a good impression and we’d wondered what mistake we’d made by booking there. Our room wasn’t ready for checking in so we went up to the first floor to the bar for a drink but the bar wasn’t open so we used the toilet instead before heading out somewhere else. Unfortunately these toilets weren’t much better...

"Big, quiet room, good bed, towels, and breakfast. Parking is confusing. All-day vouchers for the street parking seemed to be available but it also seemed easier to just Pay by Phone. The location is excellent, so it’s understandable that there’s no parking provided directly by the hotel and the daily cost is minimal. The sister hotel is the Crescent Hotel (famous location), which is owned by the same company, and we were ‘upgraded’ there for dinner, which was a pleasant surprise."

"I hate to leave negative reviews on businesses but I have to call out this place. The rooms were nice and looked clean. We were only here for 3 to 4 hours before checking out at 430am. During my stay here I started to get an itch on my arm while I was sleeping on the bed. "We really liked our stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, and our dog was made to feel welcome too. The hotel is a beautiful building, and our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. You could hear noise from neighbours, but not too late. "Hotel looked great online and like a 1970s holiday camp when we arrived with metal staircases and chalet rooms We also had a lovely guest decide to smash the room up under us and threaten everyone police called not 1 member of staff checking anyone was ok Breakfast was awful all in all never to be repeated again"
