"This is a classic Italian hotel. 24-hour front desk (that holds your room key), nice lobby, large well-appointed room with a really nice bathroom, great breakfast buffet on the top floor (with a rooftop terrace). Short walk to the central train station (and then a short train ride to the airport). Dozens of excellent Sardinian restaurants within a few blocks. A similar hotel would cost five times as much in NYC!"

"Stayed for a night to catch an early flight. The front desk person was very nice and helpful, she even reserved the restaurant for us. The restaurant is located inside the hotel, so if you don’t want to deal with Cagliari traffic and poor parking, it’s a solution. Overall clean room, no view but we didn’t care. Would definitely go back. "

It seems the hotel is slowly improving its rooms but we unfortuately had a hill view room which was disgusting.It should not be given out to paying guests. Mouldy bathroom,loose wires from extractor fan,lingering smokers smell(smoke alarm covered by a shower cap!) and soiled sheets. "Firstly, finding the hotel was not easy. It’s part of hotel Flamingo, you have to cross a smelly still water inlet if you want to use this hotels pool which was bigger. Mare Pineta is a three star but could be better at that - uneven pathways, which we tripped over, outside our room was not clean with cigarette ends and broken flower pots.
