"AVOID AWFUL HOTEL."

"Amazing view of mountains from room windows, convenient location to reach Snowdonia, Holyhead and many more places to discover North Wales"

"Very friendly and helpful staff in a well presented well positioned hotel for getting around the wider area with lots of complementary parking. Rooms were large, well decorated and spotless. Generally very good."

"All the staff, Reception, Kitchen, Bar & Cleaners were very friendly and helpful, the arrangements for Breakfast & Dinner were well signed. The Food was very well prepared and presented, the choices available were various"

"Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village."

"Good staff"

"👍"

"Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit."

"Clean, mattress not suitable for an adult."

"Excellent place to stay , great location, great parking , staff were really friendly and very helpful , the breakfast was amazing . Will definitely stay there again"

"Clean basic accommodation but lovely staff and a good breakfast."

"The hotel looks great from the outside, but inside it has a stale smell. Our room"

"Lovely place, nice room with a modern bath. Staff was friendly. Would stay there again."

"Very friendly staff. Had some issues communicating with the hotel via email and Expedia messages, but were able to quickly resolve issues by phone and in person. Beautiful old hotel with modern features in the heart of Aberdovey."

"The location was excellent and the amenities are fantastic."

"This hotel could be superb but needs TLC. Staff very good but the hotel needs lots of attention"

"Overall it was fine but I very expensive for what we actually got. The room was fine but small and the bed was not the best apart from that it was fine. I paid £140 for the night and breakfast which was continental was another £25 for the two of us. Very expensive for a room above a pub."

"The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. Then once you are in it smelled like a teenage boys room, sweat and lynx. The carpet was badly worn and peeling off the floor, the cheap divan base was broken so the mattress was either springy or wavy, didn't dare actually look at the mattress... Cobwebs around the window show how long since that was cleaned and general bits of wallpaper coming off the...

"Lovely staff, well kept room, delicious breakfasts, dinner, and Sunday lunch"
