"We had a lovely apartment with a separate bathroom. It had a sofa bed table chairs and a kitchen. The breakfast was expensive but very good food at lots of choices. The staff were very friendly."
"This was terrific value for money and would happily stay again. While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. All in all, very good."
"As per previous reviews, this property was a great place to stay.
It's smack bang in Portsmouth Harbour and right next to the bus station and Gosport ferry so couldn't be more convenient if that's your goal. It is a very urban location but a nice view of the harbour on one side but the bus station on the other.
Breakfast was included in the rate and Excellent! Even the coffee was great (and having just returned from France, UK coffee is normally a step down).

"Beautiful family run hotel in an excellent location close to the city walls. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep and lovely little cafe opposite for breakfast. Hotel breakfast is 13 euros per person, substantial buffet breakfast well worth the money. Just an 8 minute walk into the city with lots of beautiful restaurants. Would recommend Hotel Du Pont Vieux to anyone visiting Carcassonne and would definitely stay again if returning."
"Vieillissant, bar de douche ne tient pas, boite de reivation apparente, clim vielle et peu efficace, énormément de bruit (couloir, porte, voisin)... je ne reviendrait pas. J'ai choisi car je connait cette enseigne et que j'ai toujours bien séjourné pour un prix raisonnable . Il y a des offre a prix très proche au alentour ou je l'espere nous seront plus paisible."
"A great stopover on our journey through France! The hotel was conveniently located to visit the medieval city and accessible from main roads in and out of Carcassonne. It was clean and modern with really helpful, friendly staff. The pool was a real bonus on a very hot day and we loved the grapevines lining the path into reception! Not seen that before!
Our room was clean and comfortable with air con."

"We stayed for one week at the end of July and enjoyed it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Check- in went smooth even though we arrived day later Reception is open only for limited hours during day but you can easily check in/out- out of office hours, just contact host for the instructions.
Place is very calm and quiet, surrounded by vineyards. Best is to have a car to explore the area. Uless you preffere stay in and dip in the pool.Around 1 hour drive to very nice and not overcrowded Narbonne...
"We only stayed one night so the room was adequate given the short stay. The room seemed very dated and small. The shower worked just fine was a little small and slippery for my standards.
The staff were lovely and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the ac was a blessing.
The furniture in the rest of the building was beautiful but our room not too great."
