"When we arrived at 5.00pm on Sunday afternoon the hotel was deserted. Automatic check-in machine! If someone had been at reception we would have asked to change our room,particularly as the place appeared practically empty, because our shower head bracket was broken so had to be hand held for the entire stay. Also being sited on the 2nd floor was difficult for us as we are both over 70 and have both had hip surgery. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each day and our swim in the nice private...

We booked a room with sea view and balcony,room was spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable (queen size). "We stayed for one night at this property. Great location with free parking close by. A good base for exploring La Rochelle. Would stay again but mattress not very comfortable and first hotel I have ever stayed in where they ask you to take your rubbish out yourself. "Perfect place to stay to explore La Rochelle. In the heart of the old town and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. A small supermarket is located nearly next door. Walking distance from the train station - less tha. 5 minute flat walk. Friendly staff, clean room with large comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast available which we had both mornings. Only downside is there was no kettle in the room to be able to make a hot drink."

"We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour. "
