"The property was great. The pool was convenient and there was plenty of sun chairs for the amount of guests. The resort has everything you need from a convenient store, massage, PADI shop and two restaurants. The happy hour is great but the food is so-so. The hotel staff are kind and very helpful. "Deluxe room was more of a suite with separate kitchen area, bathroom & bedroom, Large balcony with both chairs and a twin hammock. Not plush by European standards but quite nice anyway. "Property was well maintained.We came in June during slow season it was very quiet and relaxing.We had the 3b 2b villa.Management is awesome and helped with any issues we had for example hot water.There was a switch that we had to flip in order to turn the hot water on.Besides that we definitely would recommend staying at Mooshine. Torti the security guard is phenomenal.Regardless the time of day he will assist you. "

"This hotel is located in a great location and is super cute! The rooftop bar/pool/restaurant is really nice and the breakfast is fabulous!! We loved everything we had. The view from the pool is very nice and hip! The boutique in the hotel had very nice high end clothing and other neat stuff. The rooms are small but very nicely done and great bathroom amenities. I would stay here again for sure and I’m kind of a hotel snob but Upendo is super cute and decorated nicely "

"The location was perfect! I really wanted ground floor but was put on 3rd floor with no elevator. To change rooms I was told I’d have to stay extra nights. I had just climbed mt Kili and my legs were a little unstable. However they did help with my bags. The bed was extremely hard. All in all I’d stay again at that hotel "

"The property was great , the staff was great however my stay was not pleasant due to beach vendors harassing tourist at all times I couldn’t go swim in ocean because they wouldn’t leave me alone, and even after I told them I was not interested in anything from them they proceeded to disrespect me and say rude things. Because of this I will only return to Zanzibar if the hotel has a private beach because the harassment from the local vendors and the so called “ Masai” people is wayyyyy too much, I couldn’t even enjoy laying on the beach , they would constantly try to talk to me , it was very uncomfortable to even be near the water."
