"Checked okay parking was close, the lift was out of order so walked to room not really a problem, but staff member sent me me on a 10min walk around the hotel with their instructions on how to get to the room, I later discovered a much quicker way using an alternative staircase, room was clean and well maintained. WiFi not the best but definitely useable. I cannot comment on food as I didn't eat in the hotel but there are some nice restaurants nearby."
"A well maintained and interesting Victorian Hotel in a beautiful seaside location. Filled with vibrant art works by one of the owners, and large, comfortable common rooms offering splendid views of the sea. The staff were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. We eat out in Tintagel but the snacks in the bar area were appetising and the cakes absolutely delicious. The owners were out and about interacting with visitors. The rooms were well appointed and clean with comfortable facilities and...
"Check in was easy and the staff were very considerate and helpful to inform you of the hotel and where your room was. The rooms are modern and clean which is great. Some small complaints though. The rooms can be very cold and my radiator didn't seem to work. Additionally, this wasnt helped by the fact the shower only seemed to get warm not hot.
During my stay there was also no mention by staff of there being a function being on the first floor (the rooms back onto the function room on this...
"We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you."
"Tolle Unterkunft in super Lage - wir hatten die Familiensuite und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Zimmer war sehr groß , liebevoll eingerichtet und hatte sogar Blink aufs Meer - der Check-In war super einfach und das Personal nett und hilfsbereit - wir haben nichts zu beanstanden und kommen gern wieder"
"The lady who runs the b&b was lovely, and so friendly, she gave us all the information we needed when we checked in.
The room was large and spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom had shampoo & conditioner as well as shower gel & soap.
We paid for our parking at a car park down the road, but the b&b do have a small parking area out the back.
Breakfast had a huge amount to choose from, cooked, cereals, toast, pancakes, pastries , yogurt & fruit.
Hot drinks & fresh...
"Comfortable and clean . Friendly staff especially Becky and Liv.Evening meal superb ,apparently chef Dave on duty when we stayed. It would have been better if staff knew what soup of the day was before taking orders ,a small detail but probably more professional. About 9 stairs up to the room ,staff did offer to help with suitcases .Car park is up a small hill but there is a drop off area to unload your suitcases to avoid having to walk down with them. Would return if only for the food."
"Warm and friendly welcome and it stayed like that all week
As to the room it had a lovely powerful shower, a comfy bed and a kettle what more could I want"
"Walking the SWCP and this hotel was perfect for my needs. It was clean, friendly staff and the onsite pub/restaurant served good quality food. Highly recommended"
"A character historic pub in a nice rural location, although roads are very Devon and narrow in places! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good food and service with a selection of beers with real ale under gravity from the cask. Very popular with diners on a Saturday night. Room reflected the nature of the property but was clean and comfy. Good selection and quality for breakfast. Went with trad English but kippers and salmon on offer."
"Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude.
Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back.
A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day.
Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again."
