"Staff were great food was really good"

"Great food, great value, great atmosphere. The staff were great, especially Tia, all the best to her on her travels."

"Staff lovely, breakfast delicious, location - superb view. Parking easy. Pretty walks."

"Difficult to park here, also a great pity that the owners who take people hard warned money don’t want to meet & greet their guests. The basics in guest care missing here. "

"Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi"

"dog friendly, staff a bit inexperienced as breakfast was not set up this may be due to time of year and not usual staff member as l was the only guest, room and facilities need a spruce up. "

"Great location with great views I’ve been seen as many stars at night"

"I booked this Hotel in February 2026 ...received a Booking Confirmation from Hotels.com... I am disabled and my friend more so ... we arrived in Rothesay, Bute ...to find the Hotel was closed ..and had been since December 2025 ..... and as Wedding on at Mount Stuart ..for 350+ guests ...no accommodation available elsewhere...luckily, met guy ..who found us 3 nights in place he had worked ..expensive though...then I trekked in rain to find other accom for last two nights....tried 10 guest houses...

"Pete was super friendly and helpful with reorganising rooms for us and then delivering great breakfasts during our 3 night stay."

"We loved it here. The decor was on point. Little disappointed check out was 10am but that's just because we wanted to spend more time there. Excellent location for the town and nearby shops etc. 10 out of 10 for kerplunk being available! Thanks!"
