"A very helpful staff who helped me with non-hotel issues. Upgraded to a larger room with a view of the fjord. In between seasons but the staff handled the many bus tour guests professionally and with smiles."

"Excellent breakfast. The actual property hasn’t been updated in a while, but it’s kind of cool in a retro sort of way. Loss of dark cherry and oak furniture in the room along with a nice leather easy chair."

"Hotel is located in a little town. We stayed one night last month in September. It’s a very 70’s style hotel but I think they have an older hotel which looks lovely & wish I had booked there. Staff are friendly & it’s clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were good. "

"This is an absolutely stunning B&B down to every detail. The owners and staff were helpful and it’s a perfect location if you want to take the ferry to the Urnes Stave Church(the oldest of the remaining Stave churches) which is beautiful and well worth the trip. Breakfast was great too. The downsides are: 1) sharing bathrooms; 2) tiny rooms; and 3) no close restaurants for dinner so eat first in the neighboring town."

"Such an historic beautiful old hotel in Solvorn, Norway for our last stay before leaving the country. We just so happened to arrive the evening of the biggest storm in the last 25 years and our room was right in front of the ferry/dock to see all the action. As we arrived later in the day we were too exhausted to dine there so they brought us nice sandwiches and champagne upon arrival too."
