"Stayed one night after taking a train down from Fukuoka to check out the city. Very close to the train station so I could store my luggage at the station before checking in to the hotel. I checked in later in the day after arriving to Kagoshima in the AM. Check in was very simple and quick. Desk clerk understood my Japanese/English mix. Some descent restaurants in the area. Room was comfortable for one. Stayed in many APA hotels in Japan. Inexpensive room but I’m not hanging out in the room...

"Rooms are clean and functional. My room had a view of Sakurajima. Rooms facing the train tracks will have noise, so bring ear plugs. Location is easy 1-minute walk from train station. You also have easy access to AMU Plaza shopping mall, which has so many dining options and a ferris wheel. Also, easy underground access to AEON grocery store. "

"This hotel was convenient to the train station and fine for a short stay. The rooms have not been updated recently and the furniture and carpets show their age. The bathroom is tiny and two persons will have to take turns using it. However, the rooms are very clean, as is the lobby and reception area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with our inability to speak Japanese. "

"On the older side, but room was a decent size for a Japanese hotel, though the view was onto an inside wall, so almost no natural light. I accidentally booked a smoking room and they weren't able to switch me to a non-smoking room, but thankfully there was no smoking smell in the room."

"The building and the room are clean and fine, but the location was far enough from the airport that you would absolutely need a taxi to get to the airport. However, you’re supposed to make a taxi RSVP at least 48 hours before the date you need it. Local taxis are usually fully booked by early RSVPs, and wont be able to come pick you up like you would expect. Room & facilities: bed is comfortable & nice amenities (skincare by DHC) available at the lobby. There is also water dispenser in the lobby Free breakfast is delicious as well Negative is only that the room given is right in front of the elevator so whole night i can hear the elevator bell ring. Very hard to sleep. Avoid room 211 at all cost!"
