"Toilet was broken and window in the bathroom wouldn’t close.
People were nice and property was older. Bed was not good. Mattress is old and not comfortable"
"Liked everything, the room was perfect fi=or my needs, whole hotel was very clean, friendly, helpful staff, excellent food, well cooked and good choice, ideal location"
"The evening receptionist was exceptional! The whole premesis was quiet and comfortble. The breakfast was excellent. There is a short walk from the guesthouse to the beach and then a long walkway. The gardens are fabulous - I wished I was staying longer!"
"This is a grand old hotel that reflects the traditions of years ago, that has been meticulously maintained. More importantly it is clean, & the staff helpfull. In house restaurant that sends a hearty breakfast in an elegant setting."
"This was a lovely gem in our Scotland 500 trip. The rooms are spacious and very clean, comfortable.
The breakfast is a treat as well plenty for all.
The staff was friendly and helpful"
"This is a fab budget hotel. Big room, really clean, no carpet 😀 Evening staff were so lovely. Dinner was superb!! Breakfast was ok, she forgot my beans, the cereal was all out of date and the breakfast girl didn't smile once."
"We stayed for 2 nights as part of a 11 day tour of the Scottish Highlands. We had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice and good quality and staff helpful and friendly. We would stay again."
"Dated requiring refurbishment also when we opened bedroom there was loads of birds droppings on the corner of the window cill because there was a house Martin or swallow had been nesting therefor had to close window and get no fresh air. We stayed one night and left prematurely. No breakfast It’s like being a latch key school child Wouldn’t recommend"
"I checked in about 7:00pm and my Booked room had been given to another guest. I was given the “last” room - a twin with basin in the room (tells you how outdated it was).
Website also clearly states bar is open till 12 for guests. By the time I picked my partner up from Inverness airport and got back to hotel about 11:20pm (both looking forward to a “refreshment” after her delayed flight) everything was closed down for the night.

"Location was very quiet and close to Nairn - but VERY difficult to find. Directions were poor for an out-of-towner. Breakfast was okay but because it was a wknd was more limited, though that was not reflected in the price."
"Pleasant traditional Highland Hotel.
Friendly and efficient check in.
Bar well stocked with pleasant adjoining lounge.
The venison dinner special was excellent.
A good stopping point on way north ."
