"Friendly staff, quiet room, comfortable bed"

"Good central location very close to Russell Square tube station. The hotel provides great value and high standard of accommodation. However, our stay coincided with a high Sunmer temperatures in London and the bedrooms have no air conditioning, although a fan was provided, but this inadequate. During the booking process there was no reference to there being no AC in the bedrooms. I’d recommend this hotel but not during June through August."

The elevator only went up to the 6th floor so I had to go up 22 stairs with my luggage, a backpack and a bag. The AC didn’t work and they had a fan in the room. "Staff, (Sid) was so nice, early arrival, . I was exhausted and he was able to secure me a single to crash in until my room was ready at 11 am. There are no amenities. This place is bare bones . It’s nicely decorated, but bring your own pillow. Beds and pillows are not comfortable."
