"I did not stay there and was unable to change or cancel reservation. I had no luck getting ahold of Expedia, the property staff were kind but could not help me change the date without Expedia?!? I lost all the money and tried am very frustrated! I use Expedia a lot and this was a terrible experience! I hope Expedia reaches out to me to correct this Sure the property was lovely but Expedia really dropped the ball and I paid the price for nothing : ( "

"A large, comfortable and beautiful room with an immaculate bathroom, in a convenient location, for the price of a much more basic brand. Usual gripe that in a family room for 4, they only give you two of everything (cups, bath towels), and that the pub is expensive (£4.20 for a soft drink, £7 for a beer etc), so the savings are offset at dinner."

"Beautiful old property but faded grandeur meant it needs a bit of TLC. Our room and bathroom including sheets and towels were very clean but the carpet was stained the radiator was caked in debris and the cupboard needed a clean. The bathroom looked recently updated and was nice. Amazing views from the rear of the hotel. Good parking and convenient for Bradford on Avon and a short journey to Longlete."

"This is a lovely old building. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed is superb for a good nights sleep. Set just outside town, a short taxi ride in and out, it was very quiet and ample safe parking. The Dinner was very good (Belly pork) and you must try the garlic and cheese bread, it is huge like a pizza and far more than we expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay a memorable one. Thank you very much. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

However, unfortunately proximity to the M4 means the noise of traffic is inescapable dampening the whole experience - even in the rooms where seals on windows needs improving and very loud in the garden - so no quiet relaxing if noise is an issue. Bathroom was not 100% clean in the room - toothpaste left on wash basin. Breakfast was quite average."

"The room was very neglected and obviously hadn't been properly cleaned ie dirty window ledges, dust everywhere, bare repairs in the bathroom, remote control needed new batteries, frayed carpet into bathroom - the rooms were nothing like advertised on website and are certainly not worth the £492 we paid for the five nights we were there - only worth at least half of that. I am emailing expedia separately with complaint. We learnt there were only 4 members of staff looking after the hotel and was...
