"Lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful. I was traveling alone with my pet. Hotel was very pet friendly. Bed was fantastic."

"If anyone is staying you should know there is only a costa coffee or McDonald's for food. Remember to bring some spare tea or coff but there is probably more if requested. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bath needs some attention around the plus as its very rusty. The view was exceptional across the lakes with lots of house martins nesting in the eves."

"Room was compact but comfortable, the bed especially comfortable. Best in room coffee ever! TV was impossible to sort out, HUGE but useless. A leak from toilet cabinet meant floor was wet most of the time, and was reported to manager, I'm sure it'll be fixed for next people. Pub is oozing with atmosphere, food is excellent. Staff are great. Somebody could pick up litter outside once in a while to improve the look."

"The hotel setting is delightful and has a real 'old country house' feel to it. There is a resident long-tailed peacock, who made very loud and frequent 'crows' and once flew from some high trees at dusk, which was amazing! The bar and a restaurant are next to each other and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The full breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey at £14.50, although this was probably equivalent to any cafe price nowadays. I was grateful to be upgraded to a twin room for no...
