"Unfortunately it was cool and rainy during our stay so we didn’t get to use the waterfront but we did enjoy a delicious dinner in the dining room. They had lots of board games available and the room was very comfortable with good internet and lots of tv channels for entertainment."
"very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead."
"Our room had air conditioning. No view of the lake, as room was inside the main lodge on the 2nd floor. Has a ramp from the parking lot, so fairly easy to bring in luggage.
The negatives, being over the lobby where the pool table was, so quite noisy. They have bands bands come in, set up at the volleyball courts, by the Dockside restaurant. The band played until 10. Our room looked out at the volleyball courts , so it was very loud.

"Our room was pretty basic. No balcony, no view. We were disappointed because the pictures were misleading. The air conditioner was noisy and we couldn't turn it down, so we just turned it off. There was an unpleasant smell after flushing the toilet,so we kept the bathroom fan running and the door closed. They advertised a "beach" but they have a different definition of beach than I do.
The walk from the lodge to the water is fairly steep and the walk back up was challenging

"DO NOT BOOK. This is a scam. Non refundable and the place is closed permanently. The ‘host’ has disconnected numbers. Absolutely ruined weekend trip that cost a fortune that wasn’t reimbursed and we travelled hours from home. Expedia said they would find us other accommodations but nothing was available and we were on the hook for the bill. Terrible terrible terrible"
"Traffic on highway 35 was dangerous and loud at times. Cabins were clean and well kept. Staff responded quickly to a minor problem to a window when we reported it."
"It was unbearably hot in the room. Screen on sliding door was broken so we couldn't leave the door open. Only one of three windows had a screen. Thermostat was set to off but one of the electric heaters was blasting heat. It was a very uncomfortably hot night with only one window open. Air conditioner was not installed.
Room and washroom were not very clean. Windows and areas around windows and sliding door were filthy. Looked like they had not been cleaned yet from the winter.

"The hosts were gracious, generous and helpful with ideas of things to do and see in the area. The river view from our room was beautiful and peaceful."
"We booked our stay in advance and it fell on the weekend of a huge snow storm 3 feet. Power went out as well. But we had heat thankfully, and owners had a generator. They kept the driveways clear of snow. The view was picturesque. It was peaceful fun. "
"The room was dark and dingy and had pluming issues , not only are room but the entire resort to bad because the resort has a nice beech and beautiful view of the lake . I would have to say the rooms are tired and in need of an up date . Hey that's just my opinion but I have to say I've been there 4 times I guess it's the views and the call of the loons that get me every time ."
