"The room was lovely, a good size and clean which is all we could ask for. Complementary biscuits with the tea/coffee facility which was a nice added treat. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the checking in/out process was a breeze. The hotel has a restaurant attached which is very handy after a long day driving and if you don’t want to venture into the town (5 minute drive away). When we stayed it was a Tapas night, the food was nice enough and hot but nothing amazing but it...

"Location is great nice walk in to Keswick about 20 mins. Food and drink very nice and a good price. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel needs some renovation work but for a couple of nights it's a lovely place to stay. "

"This was a business trip and the pub was the closest B&B, I found the staff fantastic always eager to help in anyway they could the owner of the pub was first class this coupled with great food and a good range of bears on draft made my stay excellent. "Really lovely Hotel and Pub. Very accommodating to guests staying at the Hotel, to find them a table for dinner or just a couple of drinks. Dog friendly on non-carpet areas, which is the majority of the pub. All staff really Friendly. The bed was a little hard, but I think that comes down to personal preference. Would recommend and we would stay again!"

"A lovely small hotel set back from the road but close to the centre of the delightful town of Cockermouth. Staff were courteous and friendly and breakfast very good indeed. Fresh fruit and other breakfast choices are top quality. "
