"Location is perfect for an early morning flight however despite being an IHG member, the room was not only basic but worse for wear. The carpet in the room was badly stained and the carpet outside the lifts had tears that had been repaired with black tape. It’s as if they don’t feel the need to upgrade as being so close to the airport terminal, they get the business anyway. It’s a shame really as it could make the start of guests’ holidays a bit more pleasant by making a few basic changes."

"A bigger gym would be nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful"

"The staff were excellent I have health issues and they went above and beyond to bring me food and help me to the Airport. Nick and Rachel and staff . I found the bed uncomfortable and had no bath . The food I had was good and fresh . Service was fast ."

"The cabin/cottages were nice, and updated. The restaurant Palomino and main building is getting dated and service is falling off. The breakfast was great as usual and most staff is friendly. Wifi is terrible and non-accessible or very slow at best"

"Lovely place with history and unique design. They have a pool and hot tub too, which was great! The staff was very friendly as well."

"Perfectly serviceable budget room, small but comfortable enough. Clean. The main problem was noise - walls are paper thin and you'll need ear plugs even if people aren't particularly rowdy. Floor above my room creaked loudly all night with people just walking about. Didn't get much sleep. I'd also not recommend the food - worst I've had in a long time. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Debbie on reception was lovely. We arrived at 10:30pm. We went to the bar where the bartender told us he would have to open the till and we would have only one drink as he was closing, Floor tile cracked on bathroom floor and no facecloths in bathroom. The mattress was very poor quality."

"The room was clean and bed comfortable. Nice decor in the room. Evening meal food was excellent. Breakfast was disappointing, not cooked to the same standard of the evening food. Dog friendly. Huge carpark. Fabulous position with views over the bay. Just be aware its a mile past the centre of Helensburgh and it's a lovely walk into town."

"I want to start my review by saying the staff were mostly helpful and kind. I did also receive a full refund for my stay. However it should not have come to this. The overall cleanliness of the room"

"Everything was great at The Oak Tree Inn! Staff were wonderful (especially Kay) so friendly and welcoming! The pub was so nice with a cozy fire. Our food and drinks were great. Our room had a great view of the water and the sunset."

"Room was clean but small. Mattress and pillows not that great."

"Locate on the shoreline of Helensburgh & very close to event hall I was attending. Room with no view but it was a lovely cosy room onsuite beautifully decorated fabulous mirrior. Bar lovely atmosphere, staff genuine happy to help out. Lucky to park outside it but theres a big carpark not too far away."
