"The hotel is very well located for all of Yorks attraction and city centre. The staff great, the room nice and big, nice clean bathroom. The shower was weak and the sink occasional had a strong drain smell but this is the only negative. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and regularly replenished. I would highly recommend this hotel "

"It's a lovely hotel, great staff, nice rooms, and a good location. Breakfasts were good. Our only issue was the stairs. There is no lift in the hotel. Staff carried our luggage up when we checked in and brought it down when we checked out which was greatly appreciated, but if someone has mobility issues, the stairs are a challenge."

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "

"enjoyed our stay, we were in the loft room, ok but steep stairs at top floor. the room had all you needed for a self catering stay if you wanted. we opted for breakfast. Breakfast was perfect, one of the nicest cooked breakfasts i have had in a long while. the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. good location, i would stay here again no problem. only small thing was there was no hook on back of bathroom door for clothes, this is always guest houses forget, just a little thing but...
