"For perspective on this review, I've stayed at roughly 20 all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Family getaway for 4 adults May 16-19 2024. We chose this particular resort because of their on-site scuba facility (more on this later). The resort itself is very nice. Property is a bit older, but well maintained and kept clean. Literally off grid- no:internet,phones limited to local only, after snorkelers leave for the day you literally are alone( except a grounds keeper who lives there)there is no one for miles Closest place to Stuart Coves Tiger shark dives without playing three times more at old Bahama bay. this is a cabin on the beach with fantastic snorkeling,sunsets, and starry nights. Only caution is the noseeums- TAKE A BUG REPELLENT."

"Construction work above the apartment started on the 3rd day of our stay, continued every day until the 5th day when I decided to move out, since the noise prevented us from enjoying the apartment during the day. I requested a refund for the remaining nights but management declined, for the reason that noise was only during the day. They are starting renovation on the facades as well..."

"The hotel staff are wonderful but the cleanliness of the room is lacking. However, the rooms are big and have everything you need to stay for awhile. The pool area is very nice and the beach is just across the street. You are about 15-20 minutes from Lucaya Market."

"The stay at Mrs. Doris' Ocean Pearl was wonderful. The cable was out in the room and the water went out the first day, but those were both beyond the hotel's control. Mrs. Doris was absolutely wonderful and was extremely accommodating. This is the perfect destination for those looking to get away from the world and slow down. Go visit Bishop next door and be sure to order the Crack Conch Dinner in the Ocean Peal kitchen."
