"We enjoyed our stay at the Barrington. We have stayed at many other hotels in Halifax. The hotel was very comfortable and in a good location. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and we were not disturbed at night. The decor is a bit dated and could use a refresh. The Tempo restaurant attached was excellent to pick up breakfast or lunch. Service at the counter was excellent. Shout out to Peggy who works the morning shift there. We would stay again."

"​Great location, clean rooms, and included breakfast. ​The main downside was an unexpected $50 deposit charged at check-in that was never mentioned during booking. At checkout, the front desk had no record of the payment until I showed my receipt. They refunded it without further issue, but the confusion was unsettling. Keep your receipts!"
