"Location is excellent. A bit run-down. Sure appeared to have many a Section 8 clientele living there. When you have to have a Security Guard at the pool in a bulletproof vest and not a lifeguard? Say's it all. The building is on the run-down side. Indoor pool was ice cold due to the heater being broken.
Wouldn't stay there or recommend."
"Everything was great except requested a blanket or comforter for the night. The bed didn’t have one on it. They said they would bring one but never did. The wall heater seemed old and didn’t work well"
"The staff was very helpful. For paying $325 for one night stay the fire extinguisher was hanging from the middle of the ceiling plus the toilet moved around on the floor. It was not attached."
"Location was perfect. Near Elmwood Village, where we could walk to.
The hotels architecture was beautiful!! Enjoyed watching the history in the museum."
"What a beautiful "old-fashioned" comfy hotel. Staff was GREAT....room was HUGH with soft, cushy towels and amenities to make you feel like you are home. Will definitely stay again!!"
"Great place to stay while we flew out of Buffalo. Great little bar area. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Used shuttle service to airport. Would def stay again."
"Room wasn’t very clean and was just dingy feeling. Also, the fire alarm went off at midnight and from overhearing the convos from the firefighters it was a frequent thing I guess."
"Very good experience, would highly recommend this property and great location. Rooms very nicely appointed, and they allowed early check-in without any grief. Nice bar and restaurant attached. with a small self-check store/coffee stand."
"We picked this hotel because of the large room and extra sitting area. Location was decent and hotel has a lot of history. Enjoyed our stay, but not a very welcoming atmosphere, with no real amenities in the lobby and there was no chance we were going to drink out of the coffee pot in the room. Good for a couple days, stay with easy access to the game Day express just behind the hotel."
