"We'd stayed in this hotel before and on that occasion, we had an amazing view. This time we'd said in the notes that it was our honeymoon, but unlike other hotels, this hotel did not respond to that and our view was just OK this time. They also didn't give us any kind of greeting while other hotels we stayed at did. The lack of human connection is this hotel's biggest weakness - even check in is done with a machine and minimal human contact, so it's not a good example of real Japanese...

"Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. When my wife and I had a leak in our room (due to the typhoon), we notified staff. Their quickness and efficiency really impressed us. When we returned to our room later that day, we found a letter with an apology for the inconvenience and coupons for free breakfast for the rest of our stay! Would absolutely stay.
