"The hotel was immaculate and had a very high level of interior design throughout. Rooms were very modern/ stylish. Bathrooms extremely clean. Hotel food was exceptional. Staff were very friendly. Right on the riverside with extensive outside seating areas. We stayed three nights. Excellent."

"We had a comfortable stay. Room was nice, especially the soft furnishings. A few minor niggles. Some of the public areas were a bit shabby (it’s an old building) and there was apparently a problem with the drains at the bar toilets. Service was good - very friendly and attentive. Food was decent and good value (especially curry night). Breakfast a bonus with a choice on offer. Vegan and vegetarian no problem at all. We had been before years ago and would stay again."

"Overall a good place to stay, central, convenient, great food. A few minor "gripes! however...no table or bench on which to put case, on the floor is not the best, the kettle is impossible to fill from the only tap, had to use a glass and fill that way! Beds are rsther hard too."

"Excellent building, tastefully modernised. Only criticisms were there was no covered bike rack and the only two real ales were both Greene King. There are excellent local breweries, Ampersand and Grain come to mind plus local real cider so surprised they didn't have these kind of options "
