"Unexpectedly good. Beautiful Georgian Square close to the harbour. Good facilities in the pub, excellent food and great service. In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. "We had a comfortable stay. Room was nice, especially the soft furnishings. A few minor niggles. Some of the public areas were a bit shabby (it’s an old building) and there was apparently a problem with the drains at the bar toilets. Service was good - very friendly and attentive. Food was decent and good value (especially curry night). Breakfast a bonus with a choice on offer. Vegan and vegetarian no problem at all. We had been before years ago and would stay again."
