"Some aspects of the property are getting tired. Grout around bath/shower in both rooms going black with mould growth (white grout with black growth spots) carpets stained and dirty just really needs some more attention on deep cleaning and it’ll be back to the standard expected of such an establishment "

"I love village hotels. I think they're the best chain to stay in. Always good standards with great facilities. However, although we had a nice stay, and the staff as always were great, this one has seen much better days. It was very worn and looked tired. The carpets throughout need replacing. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in the halls. Our rooms were nice, but just need a bit of tlc. A nice stay, but the hotel needs some love"

"Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of issues with my room, but they were sorted straight away. This is a very basic 'dry' hotel originally built for offshore rig workers so set your expectations accordingly. That said it's about a third of the price of the posh one next door which does have a bar. The airport check-in desks are about 600m away, ish, so a very easy walk. The bed was comfortable and roomy for one, but two might be 'cosy'. Also, surprisingly quiet....

"The room was excellent with a nice view from the window, see the attached picture, but a little cramped to get past the bed (only about 12 inches). The bathroom was adequate however there was a danger of banging your head on the sharp corner of the sink unit when your were sitting on the toilet if you weren't paying attention. The bed was very comfortable which is what it's all about, and all in all I would willingly recommend the hotel. The free car park is a bonus as long as you can get in. I...
