I didn't tick the box saying that I wanted a pet-friendly hotel, but the staff informed me after arrival that all their rooms were of that nature, and they didn't respond to a request via the Expedia website for a pet-free room prior to my setting off. It was clear efforts were made to minimise the effect of their policy on cleanliness but nevertheless it wasn't what I'd have chosen, if clearly informed."

Staff came with plunger and showed me that he “fixed it” when my son was trying to shower drain started flooding again. We ended up not showering We found someone’s stale crisps under our bed. "We loved to stay at Hillcrest bed-and-breakfast it’s absolutely amazing place few steps away from Bamburgh Castle. The stuff was caring and responding to every our need or questions. Breakfast is excellent at this place every morning freshly cooked classic British breakfast."
"The location was great, facing towards the city centre while the river is out the back. Breakfasts were delicious with various selections as were the dinners. We went to their cozy bar every evening before dinner. Mostly, I enjoyed the old world atmosphere, especially the lovely sitting room. The staff was very professional yet very friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and sizable. Loved the place!"
"Chose this pub as an overnight stay enroute to Scotland. We booked a table online for dinner as well. The room was excellent. Evening meal was superb as was the breakfast the following morning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Parking available close to the room. Would definitely stay again and would recommend."

There was no where to put our toilet bags and hang our towels. We had to put our cases on the floor as there was no suitcase rack. Only 6 coat hangers to share. And The bar was modern and a nice place to relax for a drink."

"The property privides essential features. All ammenities are inside from kettle, heater, tea coffee, etc.
It is close to the bus stop, and you just need to walk 2mins.
Make sure you have foods with you as the property is located far awat from any convenience store. However, morning cereal and milk is provided here, it surely helps !"
