"The hotel is situated up the hill away from the main high street. On the day we arrived, the restaurant was closed due to lack of guests whilst restaurants in the high street were very busy which didn't instill much confidence on us dining in their bar instead. The hotel decor was dated and the lift was very slow. The button panel inside the lift was loose, again didn't make me feel safe using the lift. The room was clean, acceptable but not exceptional. There is tea and coffee making facility...

"Hassle free check in completed with friendly helpful staff who told me everything I needed to know for my stay. The choice at breakfast was outstanding and the restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was hot and plenty of it. My room looked towards the town and was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for my stay. I’ll definitely return for another stay."

"Booked an executive double room which was very spacious and had a large bath too. A bit dated overall but clean and we had a lovely overnight stay. Dinner and breakfast were both good quality with gluten free options. I enjoyed using the pool and sauna (pre book) however disappointed the hot tub snd steam room were not in operation. Also, the spa was closed both Sunday and Monday. Hotel is set in extensive grounds and is a 15 minute walk into Aberfoyle. Plenty EV charging points at the hotel....

"This hotel had the feel of an old 1980s hotel that had been poorly maintained over the years by the owners. The room was clean but on our second morning we weren't able to have a shower because the shower didn't work. The tap water was also like an oven while the beds were like rocks. Despite promising wi-fi this too was non-existent. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok but during our stay there was always a feeling of what was going to go wrong next."
