"Had a very surprising experience, paid £65 for 1 single room and didn’t expect much due to the price, just something cheap and cheerful, maybe a bit dated. Room massively surpassed expectations - view of lake Windermere, minimal white/grey design, really clean, and to top it off, an amazing power shower that went ARCTIC COLD (for those who do cold showers, this one’s for you). The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. Enjoyed having access to the pool which the kids loved. Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all hot which is sometimes missing in some venues. We had a top floor room, where the shower runs by water pump if the temperature is above 25 the shower cuts out, we had to run it on cold until it built up enough pressure to turn temperature up, this took around 17 mins.
